I wanted Melissa to take photos for us because I had seen her work before and loved it.
Melissa’s photos are are bright, beautiful, make everyone look good. Her photos communicate joy too!
During the session, Melissa was confident in giving instruction, so we didn’t feel awkward not knowing what to do. Working with Melissa was very natural!

I’ve known Melissa for a long time, and know that she is passionate about photography. I had seen her work, and knew that she was extremely talented. She captured images of families that did not seem posed at all. They seemed authentic, and they were beautiful, and that’s what I was looking for.
Before I worked with Melissa I felt like it would still be hard to find someone that we could be comfortable with & be ourselves around with taking pictures. My son is the only one who really doesn’t mind being in front of the camera. My husband and I are not huge fans of it at all!
Melissa was so laid back and confident at the same time. She knows what she needs to get great photos, and she isn’t afraid to take charge of wrangling a toddler. She steps into the situation with the familiarity and comfort of a family member, and it is just extremely easy to work with her. She put all of us at ease right away.
It’s truly a wonderful experience to work with someone who loves their job, and who has the personal and artistic skills necessary to capture images that will be family treasures for a lifetime.

Before I worked with Melissa I felt a little bit nervous because it was my first photo shoot! However, I had seen her work before and knew she was so talented!
My favorite part of the shoot was how down to earth she made us feel and how intentional she was through the whole process! She even asked for some of our favorite music to play throughout the shoot make sure we felt comfortable! (We listened to everything from Country to Cardi B – Haha!)
Working with Melissa can be described with the word: natural. Everything came naturally. The talks, the poses, the experience. So natural and comfortable!
I would definitely recommend Melissa to others!
